Fixiam April 2026 Updates

This release strengthens how Fixiam manages users across systems, with a focus on reducing manual work, improving administrative flexibility, and enabling more reliable integrations with enterprise platforms.

🚀 Integration & Provisioning Improvements

Outbound Provisioning to Microsoft Entra ID

What changed
Fixiam can now provision users directly into Microsoft Entra ID.

Why this matters
Fixiam becomes an active system for managing user identities across your environment, not just consuming data. This reduces duplication and keeps systems aligned.

What to expect

  • Send users from Fixiam to Entra ID
  • Keep user data synchronized across systems
  • Reduce duplicate user management efforts

Slack Integration (Provisioning via SCIM)

What changed
Fixiam can now provision users to Slack using a SCIM-based integration.

Why this matters
You can centrally manage Slack users from Fixiam, reducing manual onboarding and ensuring consistent access control.

What to expect

  • Create and update Slack users from Fixiam
  • Keep Slack user data synchronized
  • Reduce manual user management in Slack

🔐 Access Control Improvements

Role Switching Between Admin and Staff

What changed
Users can now switch between admin and staff roles within the same session.

Why this matters
This removes the need for multiple accounts or repeated logins, allowing authorized users to perform administrative and operational tasks more efficiently.

What to expect

  • Seamless switching between roles
  • Faster execution of admin tasks
  • Improved operational flexibility

Application Role Mapping

What changed
You can now define and assign application-specific roles within Fixiam and map them to users.

Why this matters
This allows you to control what users can do inside connected applications, not just whether they can access them.

What to expect

  • Define roles that exist in your applications
  • Assign roles to users or groups within Fixiam
  • Pass role information to applications during login
  • Ensure users have the right level of access inside each application

👥 User & Group Management Improvements

Policy-Based Group Membership

What changed
Group membership can now be managed using defined policies.

Why this matters
Users are automatically assigned to the right groups based on rules, reducing manual effort and improving consistency.

What to expect

  • Automatic group assignment
  • Consistent access application across users
  • Easier scaling as your organization grows

👥 User & Group Management Improvements

All Users System Group

What changed
A default system group called “All Users” is now available in Fixiam. This group automatically includes every active user in your organization.

Why this matters
You no longer need to manually group users for common access. This simplifies how you assign applications and manage baseline access across all users.

What to expect

  • A pre-created “All Users” group available by default
  • All active users are automatically included
  • New users are added to this group automatically
  • You can assign common applications to this group once, instead of repeating actions per user

Extended User Schema (HR Data Support)

What changed
You can now capture and manage additional user attributes within Fixiam, including employment-related details.

Why this matters
This allows you to maintain richer user profiles and better reflect your organizational structure, even if you are not fully integrated with an HR system.

What to expect
You can now add and manage fields such as:

  • Job title
  • Manager
  • Cost center
  • Employee ID
  • Employment type

These attributes can be:

  • Entered manually when creating users
  • Passed from an external HR system (if integrated)

This improves how users are organized and lays the foundation for more advanced access control over time.
