Users Overview

The Users Overview page provides a centralized view of all user accounts within your organization. It enables administrators to monitor user status, track enrollment progress, perform administrative actions, and quickly locate user records.

This page serves as the primary workspace for day to day user administration activities.

Understanding the Dashboard Summary

At the top of the page, Fixiam displays key user metrics to provide visibility into the state of your workforce.

Total Users

The total number of user accounts currently available in the organization.

This includes:

  • Active users
  • Deactivated users
  • Enrolled users
  • Unenrolled users

Enrolled Users

Users who have successfully completed their enrollment process and can authenticate using their assigned authentication methods.

Unenrolled Users

Users who have been created but have not yet completed enrollment.

These users may not be able to access protected applications until enrollment is completed.

Deactivated Users

Users whose accounts have been disabled and can no longer access organizational resources.


Searching for Users

Use the search bar to quickly locate users.

You can search using:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Work Email
  • Username
  • Employee ID
  • User ID

Filtering Users

Filters allow administrators to narrow results and focus on specific user groups.

Common filter options include:

  • Active Users
  • Deactivated Users
  • Enrolled Users
  • Unenrolled Users

Use filters when reviewing account status, troubleshooting access issues, or preparing user audits.


Exporting Users

Administrators can export user information for reporting and administrative purposes.

Common Use Cases

  • Compliance reviews
  • Audit preparation
  • User inventory reports
  • Access review exercises

To export users:

  1. Click Export.
  2. Select the preferred export format.
  3. Download the generated file.

Bulk Actions

Bulk Actions allow administrators to perform operations on multiple users simultaneously.

To use Bulk Actions:

  1. Select one or more users using the checkbox column.
  2. Click Bulk Actions.
  3. Choose the desired action.

This reduces the effort required when managing large numbers of users.


Understanding User Information

Each user record contains key identity and account information.

Enrollment StatusEnrollment completion status

User Status

The Status column indicates whether a user account can access the platform.

Active

The account is enabled and can authenticate normally.

Example:

Status: Active

The user can sign in and access assigned resources.


Deactivated

The account has been disabled.

Example:

Status: Deactivated

The user cannot authenticate or access assigned applications.


Work Status

Work Status indicates the operational availability of the user.

Available

The user is currently available for normal access and assignment activities.

Additional work status values may vary depending on organizational policies and integrations.


Enrollment Status

Enrollment Status indicates whether the user has completed required onboarding and authentication setup.

Pending

The user has not completed enrollment.

Enrolled

The user has successfully completed enrollment and authentication setup.

Example:

User Actions

Each user record includes an Actions menu that provides quick access to common administrative functions.

View Details

Displays the complete user profile and account information.

Use this option when:

  • Reviewing user information
  • Investigating access issues
  • Performing administrative reviews

Reset Password

Allows administrators to reset a user's password.

Use this option when:

  • The user has forgotten their password
  • The account requires administrative recovery
  • Security policies require credential reset

Add to Group

Assigns the user to one or more groups.

Group membership may grant:

  • Application access
  • Roles
  • Permissions
  • Policy assignments

Deactivate User

Disables the user account.

Once deactivated:

  • User sign in is blocked
  • Application access is revoked
  • Authentication requests are denied

Deactivation is commonly used when:

  • Employees leave the organization
  • Contractors complete engagements
  • Temporary access must be suspended

Manage Trusted Devices

Displays devices currently trusted for the selected user.

Administrators can review and manage trusted devices when:

  • A device is lost
  • A device is replaced
  • Suspicious activity is detected
  • Trust relationships need to be revoked

Common Administrative Tasks

Find Users Awaiting Enrollment

  1. Open Users Overview.
  2. Filter by Enrollment Status.
  3. Select Pending.

This helps identify users who have not completed onboarding.


Find Deactivated Users

  1. Open Users Overview.
  2. Apply the Status filter.
  3. Select Deactivated.

This displays all disabled accounts.


Review User Information

  1. Locate the user.
  2. Open the Actions menu.
  3. Select View Details.

Best Practices

  • Regularly review unenrolled users.
  • Deactivate accounts that are no longer required.
  • Periodically review trusted devices.
  • Export user records before major audits.
  • Use groups for access management instead of assigning permissions individually.
  • Investigate long standing pending enrollments.

Troubleshooting

User Cannot Sign In

Verify:

  • User account is Active.
  • Enrollment has been completed.
  • Authentication requirements have been satisfied.

User Not Appearing in Search Results

Verify:

  • Correct search value is used.
  • Appropriate filters are applied.
  • User account exists in the organization.

Enrollment Remains Pending

Verify:

  • Enrollment invitation was delivered.
  • User completed required enrollment steps.
  • Authentication methods were successfully configured.
